Position Summary

The Restaurant Host/Hostess is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating, and maintaining the smooth flow of the dining room. This role is critical in ensuring every guest feels valued from arrival through departure.

Key Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
Manage reservations and seating flow to maximize service efficiency
Coordinate table assignments with restaurant leadership
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional host stand
Escort guests to tables while providing a gracious introduction to the restaurant
Communicate effectively with servers and leadership regarding table status
Assist with guest requests and minor service recovery needs
Support restaurant operations with light side work when necessary
Thank guests sincerely and invite them to return
Uphold Forbes Five-Star service standards in all interactions

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous host, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
Fine dining or luxury restaurant experience strongly preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Professional presence and positive attitude
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced luxury environment
Full-time availability including AM & PM shifts, weekends, and holidays
